Indivisible SJC

Thank you for showing up!

Monday’s 50501 protest at St. Augustine City Hall was a powerful show of solidarity. Your presence sent a clear message: we refuse to stand by while the Trump/Musk agenda threatens everyday Americans.

At Indivisible SJC, we believe the federal government should work for all of us—not just the wealthy and well-connected. We must take action to ensure our voices are heard.

Here’s What’s Next:

📅 Join Our Intro Zoom Call – Tues 2/25 at 6:30 PM EST (30 min)
We’ll discuss how we can
turn outrage into action and make a real impact in our community.

Here is the Zoom Meeting Link to join. We’ll send a reminder with the link on 2/25.

🔹 FL-6 Special Election – A Game-Changer
Florida has an
unexpected opportunity to flip two House seats on April 1st—which could help stop Trump’s Project 2025 agenda in its tracks.

🔹 Josh Weil (FL-6) and Gay Valimont (FL-1) are running in must-win districts. Winning these seats is critical for taking back the House and protecting democracy.

🔹 We Need Your Help!
The
St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach Democratic Parties are mobilizing to get out the vote for Josh Weil.

✅ Check your voter registration – Deadline: March 3, 2025
✅
Make calls for Josh Weil – Mobilize.us makes it easy! Sign up here

Together, we can build momentum and fight for a government that works for everyone. Let’s do this!

The Trump administration’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has given Elon Musk and his crew unrestricted access to too much of our personal data – a massive invasion of privacy that puts our Social Security numbers, health records, and financial information at risk of data breaches, mass surveillance, and more.

Now he wants our tax information – data that not even IRS commissioners are allowed to see.

Why isn’t Congress protecting
Americans from this threat?

We are not powerless! Express your objection to these power plays at a peaceful rally in front of the Tesla Service site, on Atlantic Boulevard at the corner of  Abbess Boulevard, on Wednesday, February 26th at 12:00 noon.

Sign Suggestions:

The audience for this message is the mix of people driving by who see our signs. As this issue crosses political lines (one of our goals is to show that many of us share these data privacy concerns), let’s try to avoid using f-bombs or name-calling in this instance.

Some Suggested Signs:

  • “What will happen to our personal data?”

  • “Our privacy – not Musk’s power!”

  • “Trump & Musk want your SS#  WHY?”

  • “Billionaires want to take our tax information – NO!!”

  • “I pay taxes – but NO SAY in keeping my data private!”

  • “Musk doesn’t pay taxes but wants my SS#?? NO!”

Bring signs that express your concerns about Musk’s access to our data – but – any signs we carry should single out Musk, Trump and DOGE, rather than Tesla itself. Our biggest problem isn’t really with Tesla (or those who work there), but with DOGE and how Trump is allowing Musk to help himself to our data while taking over the federal government.
